2026 Wedding Trends
If 2025 was about exploring and playing with color - 2026 is taking a turn toward the unexpected and bringing even more playful energy with textures, shapes and colors. Weddings are getting bolder, more interesting and far more personal. Let’s dive into what we’re seeing at Denizen in Milwaukee weddings. DZ couples are not afraid to explore trends or experiment with color. We’ve had so much fun in 2025. I can’t wait to see what you all bring to me in 2026!
Color is back and she isn’t shy
Muted tones are stepping aside for a bolder take on color. We’re seeing olives, chartreuse, even cobalt blue coming to the surface. Burgundies, mauves and lime are still one of the most sought after color combos for 2026.
Drapery and Texture are taking the lead
Gone are the days of trendy farmhouse tables. Custom linens and drapery are everywhere. On the tables. On the walls. The ceiling. The look feels tailored and luxurious while still feeling attainable for couples. While custom draping can be a big investment, one 12x12 panel makes a massive impact in a small space (like Denizen!). Our design partner Adorn Event Company is seriously making us swoon with some of the draping coming in 2026! We had our first peek in September 2025 with this ‘Old Vegas’ inspired lounge.
Tables that Curve
Not only are we saying good bye to wooden farm tables, we are making room for more creative tablescapes. Snaking rounds will continue to be one of our more popular floor plans for micro weddings. We are seeing serpentine shapes mixed with draping linens and we are here for it. Something tells me I may need to invest in some serpentine tables - it’s time to play!

Whimsy + Personality over Perfection
2026 is celebrating artistic, whimsical decor. Custom details, playful patterns and statement design choices. Couples are being joyful, expressive and fun. That’s why we’re re-working our design layouts to help you personalize and customize even more.
Lace, Ruffles and Romantic Layers
Fashion seems to be in the forefront of many couples minds. We’re seeing ruffles, lace, and layering like never before. Gowns, tables, even cake designs are showing a timeless lace ruffle but with a modern edge - It’s the perfect balance of nostalgia and individuality!
Bold Lighting
It’s been a minute since I have seen colored uplighting make it’s way through Denizen’s doors. This Fall it was back in a big, big way! Not only that, couples are leaning into candles, lamps and pin spotting their tables. Lighting is showing up and, honestly, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it.
