Artists Working in Education: Join us and have fun exploring neon/glow media during this special Makers Space night at AWE. Participants will be experimenting specifically with blacklight (UV) reactive materials and fluorescent palettes. This is a great opportunity to explore how these materials interact under different lighting conditions—a technique that is highly engaging for participants of all ages.
The work created during these sessions is intended for a collective exhibition at AWE this fall. This is a perfect way to experiment in a "low-stakes" environment, allowing you to explore at your own pace and learn the logistics of working with neon/glow media so you can add it to your own toolbox.
