Denizen MKE, Washington Park Media Center, JazzyRae’ Jewels and Accessories, and Artists Working in Education (AWE) are thrilled to present 43rd+Vliet, a free neighborhood event series in our creative small businesses near Milwaukee’s Washington Park on the Near West Side. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and continuing monthly on the last Friday of the month from January to May 2026, our indoor and outdoor spaces will transform into lively artistic hubs showcasing performances, installations, media-making, refreshments and activities with local creatives. These events celebrate the neighborhood’s cultural diversity while fostering vibrant street life along Vliet Street.
We encourage our guests to park at the free parking lot at Washington Park Senior Center which is open until 10pm and across Vliet Street from our businesses. Free street parking also available on Vliet Street and Olmsted Way. Public transit available on Vliet Street.

Artists Working in Education (AWE)
Teach art? This one’s for you! AWE hosts the Art Teacher Art Club—a welcoming monthly meet-up where artists and art educators can experiment with materials, play games, swap teaching ideas, hear from guest speakers and connect with a supportive creative community.
While this gathering is designed with art teachers in mind, it’s open to the public—whether you teach art, love art or are simply curious, you’re invited to join. You never know who you’ll meet, what you’ll learn or where it might lead.
When the clock hits 8:00pm, the night doesn’t have to end. Stay in the neighborhood and visit our nearby partners who keep their doors open later, offering music, mingling and good vibes to round out your Friday evening.
